This years Jamboree and Final round for the Sport Compact Groups drag racing series was held at Willowbank raceway on the 23/24 of August this year, thankfully we did see a repeat of the wet weather which hammered the event last year. Since Round 3 in Sydney where we spun a bearing in the motor, Engine builder and Tuner Justin Gregory had built a complete new engine for this event and to campaign next years events. With Shane and Justin deciding to step it up again next yea the decision was made to go with better components to help meet the demands that a bigger turbo is going to bring. The engine now consisted of TITAN race spec JE pistons, Pauter Rods donated by 6Boost, Billet main caps, a factory balanced crank and the rest was used from the previous engine. This was all built and tuned in the 2 weeks leading upto the event with some late nights had by all. Pictures here |
