In the down time between Compak Attak and Jamboree this year we have been quietly working away on the big girl.
With S/RWD becoming defunct and us now racing in Modified, the decision was made to put her on a diet. Now this ain't no Jenny Craig diet, this is a mean angle grinder bearing surgical kind of diet. Gone are the door innards, Gone are the glass windows, anything that doesn’t need to be there has been cut and turfed out of the car. The goal being 2650 pounds or lighter.
AS we no longer need a passenger seat, that space is now taken up by a 12v to 16v converter, the nitrous bottle and fuse panel. The dash has been thrown in favour of a light aluminium dash with only a TITAN wideband, Turbosmart Eboost and PCS data logger dash.

Along with this we have changed to a Microtech LT16 with X6 ignition module and AFR data logging. The PCS will log the data from the Microtech and the TITAN wide band meaning its all one integrated unit.

With safety in mind and rigidity, we have also installed cross intrusion bars, this will make exiting and entry to the car a little more difficult but with the addition of a mark Williams removable steering wheel it won’t be too bad

We will post full pictures of the changes from Jamboree later this year in August, the goal will be to run deep into the 8’s and stay there. The last 2 years we have really focused on having a good consistent race car which we achieved with back to back Australian titles for S/RWD and both ends of the national record, the focus now is on cementing us into being one of the quickest and fastest 3.0 litre 2j’s in the world today.
Keep your eyes peeled at Jamboree for the new and improved 1JZ.747.
See you at the track
